I use my iPod Shuffle a couple of times a week in the gym while working out. Today, however, it seems to have died a gruesome death. I’m guessing maybe it doesn’t like my sweat… and realy who can blame it.
I find it rather disappointing, though, because i’ve only had this gizmo for 2 months. My previous iPod Nano survived 3 years or something and i got rid of it because the battery uptime was eventually to low. I used it in the gym and for running a lot as well.
I have tried to use the restore function in iTunes but that didn’t help a bit. The troubleshooting available on the Apple site consist of 5 steps which basically checks if you plugged the thing in right. I’m taking it back to the shop this weekend :[ .
The untimely death of this little device is just as disappointing as the entire experience i had with the Shuffle; the battery life is poor, the voice-over unpractical (i ended up giving my playlists a very short name to speed up the browsing process), the remote control on the headset is too small and generally not userfriendly.
This is my third iPod so far and i’ll let you know when the next one dies.
Anyone else had stupid hardware breakdowns like this? Drop me a line.
